We deferred our Spring inauguration camp out for a few days and glad we did.

Planned on going Sunday - Thursday but the weatherman said that it would be cold, windy

and be in the low 20's each night.

So we showed up Thursday to clear skies and temperatures in the 70's and upper 80's

during the days and in the upper 50 - 60's at night.

Our site was pretty good, the lake level has not yet recovered from the winter draw down

however,  there was enough water for people to play at the beach across from us.

Friday the weekend warriors started arriving the park filled up to capacity.

Sunday about 90% of them evacuated as quickly as they came in leaving us

the quiet campground to enjoy as intended.

It was just us and Bonnie-Roo this trip.  After Heidi's father passing and everything that

occurred over past year, we needed a get away to unwind and recharge.

We did use our e-bikes as best as we could, but there was not many places that were bike friendly.

We did manage to go to the main Campground and park about 10 miles away from our campground.

The sites were not near as nice and were very close together.  Next time we will take our bikes there and

take advantage of the bike trails and possibly play some golf.
